Aspen Center for Learning Partners with ConnectIDD

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with ConnectIDD, a disability empowerment agency dedicated to creating better opportunities for people with disabilities.
Leading this partnership is Michael Thomas (pictured below), a veteran in the special needs community with nearly 20 years of experience.

From 2010 to 2023, Michael was CEO of My Possibilities in Texas, one of the largest programs for adults with disabilities in the state. Under his leadership, My Possibilities grew to serve over 600 adults every week, with a team of more than 110 staff and a budget exceeding $10 million.
Michael also led a $30 million campaign to build the My Possibilities Campus for Higher Learning — a 20-acre, 70,000-square-foot campus designed just for adults with disabilities. It includes educational facilities and plans for dorms, wellness centers, and office spaces.
His experience and vision are already helping Aspen. Michael and the ConnectIDD team are supporting us by:
- Reviewing our floor plans
- Helping build a strong HR structure
- Developing a financial plan
- Designing a curriculum
- Planning day-to-day operations
With ConnectIDD’s guidance and Michael’s expertise, we’re more prepared to create a welcoming, supportive place for adults with special needs.
We’re grateful to Michael and the ConnectIDD team for their support and look forward to sharing more updates soon.

We are currently looking for donors and partners to help bring the Aspen Center for Learning to life. We firmly believe that this center will offer life changing opportunities for countless individuals with special needs, just like our son, Tate. We look forward to hearing from all who want to help us bring this incredible vision to life.
